Olive teas are naturally free from caffeine, which means you don’t run the risk of indulging in too much caffeine. Olive teas are also a great source of Vitamin C as they contain 4 times more Vitamin C than the very healthy green teas!

Olive teas are a rich source of antioxidants and polyphenols, particularly Oleuropein. Oleuropein is a compound found abundantly in olive leaves. This active compound is known to help increase our body’s immunity to fight off disease-causing bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens.

Method: Iced Chilling

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Lemongrass/basil/classic Oleaf olive tea (8 g loose tea or 4 tea bags)
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • Half squeezed lemon juice
  • 10-12 fresh basil leaves (Can use holy basil)
  • 3 glasses of boiling water
  • 3 glasses filled with ice cubes
  • Oleaf orchards honey to taste (optional)

  3. Add the lemon slices plus the basil leaves to this and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Add all the ice and stir, let sit for another 5 minutes, until the tea is chilled. Now add more ice if needed, and serve! (If using loose tea, use an infuser, or strain out the tea leaves.)

Strawberry and Mint Olive Iced Tea

With delicious strawberries and mint, it’s very hard to go wrong! Throw in a hot summer day with this, and you’re in love.

Strawberry and Mint Olive Iced Tea

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Method: Cold Brew

Cook Time: 10 minutes + 3 hours chilling

Total Time: 3 hours 15 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Mint/classic flavoured Oleaf olive tea (8 g loose tea or 4 tea bags)
  • 1 cup fresh cut strawberries
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • 4 glasses of room temperature water
  • Honey to taste (optional, can use Oleaf Orchard’s Honey)

Method

  1. Add the loose tea or tea bags to a jug and pour in the room temperature water. If using tea leaves, we recommend using a tea infuser so it’s easier to take out! But this can be done by adding the tea leaves and straining it out later.
  2. Add the honey to taste. Throw in the strawberries, and mint leaves and stir well.
  3. Refrigerate the mix in the fridge for about 3 hours.
  4. Take out the tea bags or infuser. Pour into a glass, garnish and serve.
